Ah ha. Its the firewall in Norton Internet Security that causes the problems. It is a round green and blue icon.

When I first installed it and went onto Bladeforums, I was :worried: to say the least. All the damn threads in every section were invisible! It took me a while to work it out that the firewall was preventing me accessing certain links-by making them invisible :lumpy:

It does the same with some pictures as well. What I used to do was disable it while I wanted to surf some forums.

I have to say that the problem was when I was running Windows ME only, as it is fine on XP.

I know how damn annoying it can be. If I ever get to meet one of the Norton people I might just express my displeasure in a frank and forthright manner :axe: .

The IT guy in the Sunday Times a few weeks back slated Norton for its performance. So why am I still using it? I paid for a years subscription :ohshit:

When I logged on this morning, I saw that Norton AV was gone and Zone Alarm was reinstalled, so I was hoping my pic viewing problem was cured. But, alas...nothing has changed. By the way, Frank's pic doesn't display on my computer, but I can see the pics Martin posted. Frustrating.

Edited to add: There is still a "pop-up" telling me that NAV needs to be "activated"...so it must not have been un-installed. I suspect that's still the problem.

Hey Raz, that first pic is great.
Would you mind if I try to make a OM logo out of it, if you don't want to?? Look in the pub for the thread.
Thanks!

Okay Fellas

After reading some gentle nudges for me to post a pic of myself on this forum...........here ya go
This was a few years ago during what used to be an annual gathering of friends to get out of Portland for the weekend immediately after the summer solstice to get crazy and do the things we can't get away with while in the city.

This is my absolute favourite way of keeping a large quanitity of beer cold.........I'm sure most of you would agree.
I'm the guy crouched down filling his cup.....I don't know the guy behind me.

Good times

I'll post more pics as I get them scanned......I moved into a place without a computer, so my replies will be when I can get over here to post them.
13 days till I get my pistol.....YAY!
Hope you enjoy this one

Dutchman we are having one of those Summer days in England too, looks like your picture and also like Bex's picture although here it is not NE but SW!

I love your puppy Dutchman, the beach is the best place for them! I am going to soon have a dog, I have opted for a rescue dog, probably a puppy, I am still sorting out the flat (where I moved recently) so it is a welcoming place for the dog. I can't wait taking the dog to the great outdoors :D !

Here's one of my favorites. From the Dolly Sods Wilderness in West Virginia USA. A trip we took last fall. In many of the places where the trails are somewhat ambiguous there are these stone heaps cairns. We came up the hill and the setting this one was in looked like some kind of primitive altar so I photographed it.

Here's another pic of the same place but a little further on down the mountain. About six miles from the trail head where we parked.
